We are looking for passionate and driven people who
want to join our Gloucestershire-based team to work within the local community.
They will be a key part of our team delivering a holistic health and wellbeing
service in workplaces and community settings.
The role is ideally suited to people with strong
communication skills and those who are confident delivering one-to-one holistic
health and lifestyle advice to individuals, including carrying out initial
assessments and brief interventions using proven behaviour change techniques.
You will have a wide and varied caseload and will need to be able to prioritise multiple clients’ needs via multiple channels.
Key elements of the
day to day role:

Supporting clients with their
behaviour change journey through a variety of communication channels, at
present, this is entirely through virtual means
=
Identifying and reviewing individuals’ health risks
=
Providing brief intervention advice
and offering support with self-care
=
Promoting and encouraging a healthier
lifestyle though recommendations based on current recommended guidelines
=
Accurate data entry of clients’ results and appropriate pathway guidance.

Engagement and relationship building
with key stakeholders/partners
=
Supporting the team to develop and
deliver excellent client experience
=
Be positive and optimistic, and have
an excellent telephone manner
=
You will be working from home for the
immediate future you will need an environment suitable for this (phone and tablet-laptop
will be provided).
Important Information
This post provides virtual support through a
variety of mediums primarily phone based but also through Video and instant
message. In the future this role will mix virtual and face-to-face support in
the Gloucester area (but will also encompass other areas).

You will need to be an independent self-starter,
flexible and driven by a desire to help people positively change their
lifestyle behaviours.
You will be used to working towards outcome
targets.
You will live in the Gloucestershire area

Essential existing skills/experience
Understanding of behaviour change techniques
IT literate and able to confidently use online
methods of communication. You will also need to have a good eye for detail and
be accurate with data input and reporting.
Experience of delivery of a wide range of health
interventions, including weight management, physical activity, stop smoking
advice, alcohol brief interventions.
Travel - You will be travelling to community
locations when appropriate to provide clinic cover and support, so own car is
essential.
Full training for all roles will be provided along
with a programme of continued professional development. As this post is
community-based, post holders will need to be able to independently travel
across the Gloucestershire area.
Desirable existing skills/experience
Knowledge of Gloucestershire
Awareness of the current public health landscape
Knowledge of Health Coaching (including
Motivational Interviewing)
Ability to speak languages other than English
Ability to practise and current experience of using
BSL
Experience in using Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other
digital platforms.
