HR and Operations Manager

The role

A combined role supporting the HR function and assisting with workflow and planning to ensure that projects are correctly resourced and are being delivered as effectively as possible.

Working with the Operations Directors to ensure that teams are fully utilised, reporting on variances, measuring against targets.

Working with the HR director on the transactional HR work, implementing joiner, leaver and employment change processes as well as assisting with HR improvement projects including performance reviews and improvement plans.

The person

As an experienced HR and Operations Manager, you will have 3 years’ experience in similar roles, preferably within the service industry.

You will have an eye for detail and be willing to provide robust and timely HR advice across all levels of the organisation.

You will be able to communicate across all levels of the organisation and be able to create and maintain strong working relationships.

You should be used to influencing across a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.

You will understand the importance of good project management and be able to apply this skill across a wide range of projects.

Essential existing skills/experience:

Experience of designing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Provision of first line HR support and advice to line managers and senior team.

Use of HR management systems.

Knowledge of project management and resourcing.

Analysis and reporting.

Preferred skills

CIPD qualification or part qualified.

Understanding of job costing and profitability.

Understanding of the wide range of skills that sit within a typical agency.
